James joined Aldrich Eike in July 2015. He previously worked as a paralegal for a national law firm representing financial institutions litigating judicial foreclosures. He also has experience with insurance defense, criminal defense, and e-discovery. James obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Philosophy, from Hope College, Michigan, in 1988. In 2013, James obtained a Paralegal Associates degree. Since 1999, James has been a small real estate investor and property manager while also having worked 15 years in corporate graphics, marketing, and website development. He has experience in renovation, construction and code compliance projects for single family homes and 2-5 unit multi-plexes.
After his 15 year corporate career, James took 2 years “sabbatical” to travel extensively throughout SE Asia and to live in Thailand to teach at Chiang Mai University. He then returned to his Portland home to transition his broad business experience into a paralegal career. He still loves to travel.
